FAQs

Which course caters for an offence of failing to stop at a red light?

If the police decide to make you an offer for an allegation of failing to conform to a traffic sign or signal, normally it is the What’s Driving Us? (WDU?)  Course, however they are under no obligation to do so and they will take into account other circumstances such as the weather, traffic conditions, and if there are any particularly aggravating circumstances such as inappropriate speed or a near miss with another vehicle or person.

If you have attended a What’s Driving Us? Course, a National Driver Alertness Course, a Driving for Change Course or a Safe and Considerate Driving Course within three years of the most recent offence within the last 3 years you will be ineligible for an offer of WDU? And the matter will normally proceeed the rough the Criminal Justice System.
